Bodenschneid from Spitzingsee

The Bodenschneid (1669m) is a popular peak at any time of year, with a great view of the Bavarian Pre-Alps as well as Spitzingsee and Tegernsee.

The ascent to Bodenschneid from Spitzingsee is not demanding, but it is pretty steep, both uphill and downhill. We’ll enjoy lunch at the hut, and if the weather permits, we’ll take a refreshing swim in the lake afterward.

Bodenschneid from Spitzingsee, a classic of Munich’s local mountains that should definitely be climbed.

Join us for a memorable Alpine experience: you’ll meet like-minded people, hike safely, gain a deeper understanding of the region’s nature, and hear many captivating stories along the way.

Overview

The hike to Bodenschneid from Spitzingsee, we will follow the well-signposted forest path to the Obere Firstalm, which first leads slightly uphill in the forest, then relatively flat in the open terrain to the Obere Firstalm refreshment stop. Here we will turn north and follow the path across meadows in the direction of Freudenreichsattel. At a fork, keep left and follow a forest path that leads north past the forest peak of the Krettenburg.

The trail continues westwards, straight ahead at the fork to Bodenschneid. The trail crosses a mountain basin overgrown with bushes, leads uphill for a bit, and finally, first through sparse forest, then across open meadows without any orientation difficulties to the Bodenschneidhaus.

As a guide, I’m highly attentive and safety-oriented, ensuring that my guests feel confident and supported on the trail. I’m also deeply committed to protecting the environment, doing my best to minimize our impact and promote responsible hiking practices.

In addition, I am a certified NLP communication trainer and coach. This allows me to support individuals not only physically but also mentally and emotionally during our outdoor experiences. Using psychological NLP methods, I’ve helped several clients overcome their fear of heights and gain greater confidence in alpine terrain.
