Overview for the hike to Highline 179 and Heiterwanger See
Our tour begins in Reutte in Tirol, where we follow a scenic trail to the impressive Ehrenberg Burgenwelt.
After exploring the medieval ruins, we cross the spectacular Highline 179—one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in the world—with panoramic views of the valley below.
On the other side, we visit the historic Ruine Fort Claudia, perched above the treetops.
From there, we hike through the forest down to the crystal-clear Heiterwanger See. We enjoy a relaxed loop around the lake, with plenty of time to take in the alpine scenery.
We finish the day either at the lakeside restaurant or on the beach—perfect for resting tired legs, taking a refreshing swim, or simply soaking up the mountain atmosphere.
Please note: the entrance ticket for the Highline 179 Bridge — approx. €10 — is not included in the tour price.
