About your guide: Cosmin Mihoreanu - certified UIMLA Bergwanderführer (Mountain Leader)
Welcome,
Hiking on rocky, steep, or exposed trails can feel intimidating — fear and uncertainty can make even familiar paths dangerous. Without proper skills and confidence, a misstep can happen. This course teaches you how to move safely, stay balanced, and manage fear on real alpine terrain.
After leading more than 100 hikes, summting very challenging mountains such as the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc, and going on expeditions on some of the highest peaks in the world — Elbrus, Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Carstensz Pyramid, and many more — and as a certified German UIMLA Bergwanderführer (Mountain Leader), I offer a fear of heights hiking training that gives you the confidence and skills to move safely and independently in the mountains.
As a communication trainer, I have a strong focus on clarity, simplicity, and practical application. My goal is not just to present concepts, but to make this “mountain navigation training” easy to understand, easy to apply, and easy to remember.
As a systemic coach, I observe patterns and dynamics very quickly. I pay close attention to what is said — and also to what is not said. This allows me to identify the real need behind a situation quickly.
As a manager, I coordinate and lead teams of up to 15 people, ensuring clear communication, structured processes, and effective decision-making — especially in demanding situations.
My goal is simple: that you leave this course feeling confident, prepared, and capable of acting calmly and effectively when it truly matters.
Hike with courage — built on skill, not chance.

Yes — in most cases, fear of heights in mountain terrain is not a fixed limitation, but a response to perceived instability or loss of control.
When you improve foot placement, balance, downhill technique, and terrain reading, your nervous system regains trust. This training combines technical skill development with progressive exposure in real alpine terrain.
No. This is a structured mountain skills training in the Bavarian Alps.
We work practically on rocky terrain, on short exposed sections, on wet stone and grass.
The focus is movement competence.
Exposure is introduced progressively and adapted to the group level. We work on real mountain terrain, but no via ferrata, no climbing sections, no extreme exposure. The goal is skill development — not pushing limits.
No climbing experience is required. You should be comfortable hiking 5–6 hours per day, have basic mountain fitness, be able to hike 600–800 meters elevation gain.
This is suitable for beginner to intermediate hikers who want to improve technical competence.
You will improve safe movement on rocky terrain, downhill hiking technique, controlled gravel descent, efficient use of trekking poles, managing fear on exposed trails. All practiced during two guided mountain tours.
If you avoid any trail with mild exposure, this training can help — as long as you are willing to approach the topic gradually. If you experience panic attacks in everyday height situations (e.g., balconies, stairs), please contact me before booking so we can clarify suitability.
